    • Doubled gym/fitness space in 1998
    • Completed installation of integrated and networked computer system that combines state-of-the art MS-Windows based electronic medical records system with insurance, billing, scheduling, E-Mail and Internet services – 1998.
    • Expanded and re-engineered web-site with on-line, self-help orthopaedic and sports medicine information and links – 1998, updated site in 2001.
    • 5 Network servers and 44 workstations.
    • Began providing on-site industrial medicine services to Kerry Ingredients, Vesper – 1996.
    • Three Microsoft A+ trained staff members.
    • Two Certified Orthopaedic Technologists.

    • Doubled The McDonough Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center staff since 1995. Additional staff includes one physician/surgeon; one physical therapist; one athletic trainer; two receptionists; one insurance clerk; one information services technician and a full-time certified strength and conditioning (human performance) specialist.
    • Added, Dr. Frens, a Musculosketal Neurologist to our staff.
    • Added, a third Physical Therapist, Kirk Schulz, to our staff.
    • Total employees January 1, 1995 - 16
    • Present employees October 1, 1998 – 24

    • Began new innovative arthritis (chondral protective) medical treatment regimes for osteoarthritis – 1998.
    • Performed first local arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs – 1998.
    • Only local orthopaedic surgeons performing carpal tunnel release using a scope.
    • Only local orthopaedic surgeons regularly performing same day outpatient arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction since 1993 to present.
    • Year 2000, Began to explore the application of non-laser thermal energy in arthroscopic surgical procedures.
    • Completed installation of integrated and networked computer system that combines state-of-the art electronic medical records system with insurance, billing, scheduling, E-Mail and Internet services – 1998.
    • Expanded and re-engineered web-site with on-line, self-help orthopaedic and sports medicine information and links – 1998, updated in 2001.

    • It remains a challenge to provide high quality Orthopaedic, arthroscopic, and sports medicine care in a very competitive and changing managed care medical market.

    SOLUTIONS

    • Expand on-site high school outreach program;
    • Expand industrial medicine outreach program
    • Acquire the knowledge and skill to perform traditional surgical procedures using a scope to permit tiny incisions, outpatient same day surgery, and faster surgical recovery.
    • Emphasize preventative medicine and the benefits of our skilled physical therapy, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and human performance exercise specialists for health, fitness and injury prevention.
    • Gym/Fitness expansion
    • Gym/fitness facility open to the public between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
